ABOUT US COMPANY BACKGROUND Paramount was established in 1998 as the first all-Filipino property management company to introduce internationally accepted hospitality industry standards to the local property market. Paramount’s principal stockholders are Emar Corp. and its management team. Jose Mari del Rosario, President and Chief Executive Officer – With over twenty (20) years of extensive domestic and international management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to taking his MBA in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was The Manila Hotel’s General Manager/COO for three (3) years. His hotel career started with Hotel Lausanne Palace (Switzerland), then Peninsula Manila and thereafter Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. He is an alumnus of Cornell University’s General Managers Program. Dennis Marcelino, Chief Finance Officer - With eighteen (18) years experience in the finance function of the hospitality industry. He has held comptrollership positions in de luxe properties and resorts such as Mandarin Oriental Manila, Westin Philippine Plaza, El Nido resorts and Bistro Holdings, franchise holder of Fridays, Italianni’s and Outback restaurants. Dennis is a CPA and holds an MBA from De La Salle University. Patrick C. Gregorio, Chief Marketing Officer - With eighteen (18) years experience in the hospitality / tourism industry starting with Philippine Convention & Visitors Corporation, The Manila Hotel and Century International Hotel (Insular Century Hotel Davao & Century Atrium Suites). Thereafter, he joined the Waterfront Hotels, and later on became President of Waterfront Hotels Philippines Inc. In 2005, he became part of Subic Clark Development Corporation. He graduated from University of the Philippines with a BS Tourism Management degree. He obtained his post graduate diploma from the Singapore Hotel Technical and Educational Center (Phil. Programme) and his executive certification from Cornell University. He was one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men awardees in 2003 (a first from the Tourism industry). When Paramount manages a property, it supplies trained and experienced people to staff it. We derive our strength from our combined experience in managing hotels, franchised restaurant chains, resorts and country clubs. Our primary source of management personnel and consultants are those with similar backgrounds. In addition, we draw from the resources of the Phinma group. We are proud to provide and deliver service as we have become familiar with and used to in the hospitality industry. SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT Paramount Property Management offers its clients a structured management of their hotel/club/resort/facilities operations, sports and food & beverage facilities, utilities infrastructure and surroundings to maintain and enhance the value of the property for the economic advantage of its owners. Property Management comprises the following elements:
Paramount Property Management has its own pool of technical, housekeeping, messengerial and janitorial staff lodged under its wholly owned subsidiary iClean Philippines, Inc.. The Paramount team also forms the core of Microtel Inns & Suites (Pilipinas), Inc., Philippine master franchisor of the Microtel Inn & Suites brand. Microtel is an international chain of limited service hotels with 270+ properties worldwide including six (6) in the Philippines: Baguio, Tarlac, Batangas, Cavite, Boracay (to open in November 2006) and Davao (to open in 2007).
